Eisenhower Executive Office Building (White House)

Today was filled with so many memories and adventures. I will never forget this experience.

We started early in the morning and made our way to the Eisenhower Executive Building.

Where we had surprise visit from Doug Hoelscher (Special Assistant to the President & Deputy Director of Intergovernmental Affairs)!

We took a photo outside the official white house.

Then we rushed over the US Department of State to meet the Assistant Secretary of State, Economic & Business Affairs, Ms. Manisha Singh.

We took a quick visit to view George Washington Carver's Portrait in the Smithsonian National Portrait Gallery.

And of course at the end of the day a few of us took a special trip to the National Monuments.

This trip was eyeopening and inspirational. I had so much fun meeting and sharing this experience with the other Wallace-Carver Fellows. I cannot wait till I make the trip to Iowa in October for the World Food Prize- Global Youth Institute.
