Today was my last day in the lab before my trip to DC for the Wallace Carver Fellowship Symposium.
For the past three days we have been working on a project. It focuses on the mortality rate that occurs when chemicals used in pesticides are applied topically. We gathered newly emerged bees and fed them sugar water for two days. Then we selected our chemicals and applied them topically. These chemicals were used at different strengths to determine the max strength and the minimum.
Here are the "High Tech" containers we used to keep the bees in the incubator before we injected them.
Next week I will be in DC meeting with important Government officials and touring DC. There may be a delay in the posts but I will try and get them up by the following Saturday.
